Thirty seven players and parents from the Rio Rapids Soccer Club participated in the 3rd annual UNM Women’s Soccer Day in the Life Program yesterday. As a part of this full day event, our aspiring female players had the incredible opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to be a part of the UNM women’s soccer team or other elite NCAA Division 1 programs. Participants were able to meet and talk with the UNM women’s soccer coaching staff, strength training coach, academic adviser and players. They also observed a weight training session and team training session, took part in a facilities tour and learned about academic opportunities and support services. Rio Rapids Soccer Club is thrilled to be able to partner with UNM Women’s Soccer to offer this unique opportunity as a part of our college search program.
